The Friends of Oswego County Hospice are hosting the “Lights of Remembrance” memorial tree lighting on Thursday, December 1 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Oswego County Federal Credit Union on Scenic Avenue in Mexico.

Women’s Club of Fulton is pleased to donate copies of Casciano’s book to the libraries of the Fulton Elemenary Schools and the Fulton Junior High School.

SUNY Oswego will host a top executive of New York Sea Grant Wednesday, Nov. 30, as she discusses women in the sciences at the college on Lake Ontario’s shore as part of the Science Today lecture series.

“Get paid to do what you love,” Rivera said to the students when she spoke about the media, fashion, and design programs offered at the nationally renowned institute.

“Erie Canal, Oswego Canal, and Lighthouses” brings together presenters Dan Ward, Director and Curator of the Erie Canal Museum in Syracuse, Ted Panayotoff, resident expert on lighthouses at the H. Lee White Marine Museum in Oswego, and Deborah Keppel Engelke of Time & Again Books & Tea in Oswego.

Altmar-Parish-Williamstown’s (APW) Parish Elementary School (PES) held a very special Veterans’ Day program at the school to honor those men and women who have served in the Armed Forces.

This year’s Oswego County Historical Society’s Christmas Open House will be held at the Richardson-Bates House Museum, 135 E. Third St. in Oswego on Sunday, December 4 from 1 to 5 p.m.

The public portion of the meeting will reconvene at 7 p.m. as the “call to order” will be 6 p.m. However, the board will move immediately to executive session to discuss negotiations, litigation and personnel matters.
