Princeton Review Cites SUNY Oswego School of Business for 8th Year

A strong, active alumni base has factored into the SUNY Oswego School of Business' selection the past eight years for Princeton Review's guide to top MBA-granting schools nationally. Here, Jeff Gibbs, class of 1980 and a vice president of Biogen Idec, speaks with students Oct. 6 in Larry Maher's "Business Organization" class as part of the school's annual Alumni Symposium. His Boston-based pharmaceutical company has hired Oswego interns the past several years and employs a co-op student full time this fall.The SUNY Oswego School of Business recently made the Princeton Review’s annual guide to the nation’s top graduate schools of business for the eighth consecutive year.

 SUNY Oswego employees gather outside Hewitt Union to show their support Oct. 6 for the college's annual "Passionately Pink for the Cure" campaign on behalf of the national Susan G. Komen for the Cure during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Deborah Arduini of the college's Student Accounts Office, who has organized the fundraiser for 12 years, said the event raised $3,819.50 from all activities, which included donations, a drawing for gift baskets, and the SUNY Oswego Fitness Centers' Great Pumpkin Run. Recruiter from Swift Transportation Visits Class at OCB

Nancy Perkins, Northeast Regional Recruiter for Swift Transportation, a national trucking company employing more than 20,000 drivers in 27 states, visited Adult Education students enrolled in the CDL-A and Heavy Equipment Maintenance and Operations (HEMO) classes at Oswego County BOCES. She spoke to the students in the program and passed out information and employment applications, encouraging those interested to apply for positions within the company. She is pictured with Herb Dove, a student in the CDL-A program, with Paul Kowalewski, a student in the combined HEMO and CDL programs, in the background.Perkins talked to the students about career opportunities at Swift and some of what potential employees could expect, especially in the first few months with the company.
