Katrina Debaun, a member of the Oswego High School “Class of 2011” was the latest recipient of the “Possibilities Scholarship” from SUNY Oswego.
To support and promote the Wear It Oswego! life jacket program, the town of Minetto has posted the Wear It Oswego! life jacket sign at the launch ramp in Minetto River View Park.

The award was created several years ago to recognize businesses and community organizations that do “great things” for Oswego’s students. It celebrates and honors those who have made significant contributions to the betterment of the district and its children.

On Sept. 10 elections and installation of officers was held for Oswego County Pomona Grange. Master George A. Reed turned the gravel of leadership over to Robert Lewis the newly elected Master.
Parents of Special Children, Inc. hosted its backyard barbecue Saturday at Douglaston Manor Farm, 4360 State Route 13 in Pulaski—home of Mr. and Mrs. H. Douglas Barclay. Various community individuals and organizations donated facilities, talent, food and entertainment for children with special needs to create an enjoyable day.
Herkimer County First Assistant District Attorney Prescott E. Klosner has officially announced his candidacy for New York State Supreme Court Justice, 5th Judicial District, which includes the counties of Herkimer, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Lewis, and Jefferson.
