Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Teams with Fajita Grill

On May 21st the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation held its first ever Great Strides walk at Breitbeck Park in Oswego.  Approximately 75 people turned out for the event that raised over $8,000.  As teams continue to fundraise to reach the goal Fajita Grill in Fulton is partnering with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  Fajita Grill in Fulton will donate 10% of sales from Monday, June 6th from 5 – 9 pm including both eat-in and take-out.  Come out, enjoy a good meal and help the CF Foundation raise funds to help in the search for a cure. Oswego Town Historical Show and Tell Meeting June 15

Pictured are Navy Veteran Tom Czerow and Theresa Cooper with a patriotic quilt for a raffle to benefit the historical society.  The quilt was donated by an anonymous friend of the society.The Oswego Town Historical Society will host a “show and tell” at their June 15 6 PM meeting at the Oswego Town Hall 2320 Co. Rt. 7. This unique get-together allows attendees to share items of history with the group.

Medical Group Study Exchange Visits Fulton Rotary

Fulton Rotary Club president, David Cramer,third from right, greets Tony Beckett, third from left, at a recent Fulton Rotary Club lunch meeting.  Tony is a police officer and a Rotarian in Manchester, England.  The GSE team from District 1280 is a medical team.  It is made up of three nurses and one physician.  The team has been touring Central New York State for a month visiting medical facilities of all types to see the differences we have in our medical system from the systems and facilities they work in in England.  A Group Study Exchange Team is made u p of one Rotarian leader and four non Rotarians.  A medical team from District 7150, Central New York, made up of four non Rotarian will visit the Manchester and Isle of Man area in a few months to learn about medical practices in that area of England.  In the above photo, the team members, from the left, are:  Karren Skinner, a hospital operating room nurse from the Isle of Man; Victoria Watterson, a palliative care nurse from the Isle of Man; Tony Beckett, a police officer in the Greater Manchester police force; Dr. Sarah Blayney, an internest in Manchester; and Louise Dowle, a Nutrition Specialist nurse in Wrightington.  The team has been touring Central New York State for a month visiting medical facilities of all types to see the differences we have in our medical system from the systems and facilities they work in in England.

The winning Best-In-Show cake design in Arts Partners First Annual Cake-off Competition celebrated the 30th anniversary of Fulton's Memorial Day Salute and featured edible fireworks, stars, hot dogs and hamburgers. For more information about the group visit www.CNYArtsCenter.com.Kelsy Natoli was named winner of Best-In-Show Cake Design. A native of Fulton and 2008 Graduate of G. Ray Bodley, Natoli is currently a Baking and Pastry Food Service Management Student at Johnson & Wales University in Providence RI.
