The Children’s Board of Oswego presented three scholarships to selected students within the Oswego County area who demonstrated excellence in their academic endeavors.

This year the award went to Richard Klein, in recognition of his long term commitment to the youth of the community.

The team from Entergy Nuclear took top team score honors at Oswego Harborfest’s Bowlfest 2011 presented by Chestnut Street Security Sunday afternoon at Lighthouse Lanes in Oswego. The sixth annual Harborfest fundraising event featured ten teams competing for several honors.

The open house is being hosted by Oswego County, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), which developed the new maps to provide residents with a realistic assessment of their risk from flooding.
