SUNY Oswego Awards Bid to Build Science Facility

The Pike Co. of Rochester received a notice of bid award for nearly $46 million to construct the new portion (orange area) of the sciences and engineering complex. The new construction will wrap around a renovated Piez Hall and link physically and collaboratively to adjacent renovated School of Education buildings Wilber and Park halls.The SUNY Construction Fund has sent a notice of bid award for nearly $46 million to The Pike Co. of Rochester, setting the next stage for SUNY Oswego’s new 150,000-gross-square-foot building for the sciences and engineering.

Local Girl Makes Wise Decision For OCO

Hanna Wise sorts through presents she is donating to Oswego County Opportunities. Hanna used her allowance to purchase the presents when she went shopping on Black Friday.

Thanks to the kindness and generosity of a young girl Oswego County Opportunities will be able to make a family’s Christmas a little more joyful.

Learning Zoo Phonics at Preschool

Sophie Delahunt and Arlin Russo preschoolers in the UPK/Phoenix 3 classroom at Discovery Day Care are learning the letter “U” during the Zoo Phonics lesson.  They are making the “u” sound and hand motion to Umber Umbrella Bird.”  Head Start is taking applications.  If you have any questions about the program or would like to sign your child up for Head Start please call Children’s Services at OCO at 598-4711.Preschoolers in the UPK/Phoenix 3 classroom at Discovery Day Care are learning the letter “U” during the Zoo Phonics lesson.
