Veteran’s Trumpet Will Make Music for The Army

Pictured (left to right) is Sergeant First Class Scott Elliot,  group leader of the 10th Mountain Division Dixieland Jazz Ensemble from  Fort Drum, and Assistant Director of Activities at St. Luke, Diane  Garcia. Sergeant Elliot is holding a Bach, Stradivarius trumpet,  originally owned by former St. Luke resident and Army veteran Donald  Cronan who passed away last year. Cronan donated his beloved trumpet to  St. Luke, with the expressed wish that St. Luke find a worthy home for  the instrument. St. Luke passed the trumpet onto the 10th Mountain  Division knowing how important Cronan’s military experiences were to  him. Don’s trumpet had finally found its home!When Donald Cronan, a US Army veteran who served in the European Theater during World War ll, and amateur musician, passed away at St. Luke Health Services last year, he left one of his most treasured possessions to the healthcare residence, a Bach, Stradivarius trumpet.

Youth Enjoy CYO Movie Matinee

Almost 50 area youth were on hand for Movie Matinee hosted by  Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s CYO Mentoring Program.  Youth  enjoyed free refreshments as they joined their friends to watch the  movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Almost 50 youth, ages 5 – 12, were on hand to enjoy the movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs during the CYO’s Movie Matinee held recently.

County Presents Certificate to Seinoski

The Oswego County Legislature’s Community and Consumer Affairs  Committee recognized Dana Seinoski for 10 years of service to the  county. Seinoski is a motor vehicle clerk for the Oswego County  Department of Motor Vehicles. At hand for the presentation were Mark  Fruce, District 24; Terry Wilbur, District 21; Committee Vice Chairwoman  Mary Flett, District 17; Committee Chairman Robert Hayes, Sr.;  Seinoski; Oswego County Clerk George Williams; James Karasek, District  22; and Louella LeClair, District 25. The Oswego County Legislature’s Community and Consumer Affairs Committee recognized Dana Seinoski for 10 years of service to the county.
