The Committee to elect Ellery Terpening Sheriff of Oswego County announces an opportunity for the public to meet Ellery Terpening.

The Oswego Town Historical Society will hold a traditional Memorial Day ceremony at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 30, at the Oswego Town Rural Cemetery on Cemetery Road.

On June 13 2010, area bikers are encouraged to collect pledges, send a donation, and show up to ride for the benefit of the ARISE Oswego County Ramp Project in the second annual “Ride for Ramps” event. All makes and models of motorcycles are welcome in the 155-mile tour through the Oswego County countryside.

The rehabilitation of the Oswego Public Library in Oswego recently received an award for Excellence in Historic Preservation from the Preservation League of New York State.
