One of the groups in the LIFE program at Oswego Industries, Inc. has been trying their hand — and foot — at karate classes. The small group has been taking classes for a few weeks at LaVallee’s USA Black Belt Champions, practicing not only martial arts moves but also techniques for avoiding confrontations.
The Oswego County Legislature’s Economic Development and Planning Committee presents Janet Clerkin with a certificate of appreciation for her 25 years of service to the county. Clerkin is the Tourism and Public Information Coordinator with the Oswego County Department of Community Development, Tourism and Planning.
The Oswego County Historical Society invites everyone to attend this year’s Christmas Open House at the Richardson-Bates House Museum, 135 E. Third St. in Oswego. The event is scheduled for Sunday, December 6, from 1 to 5 p.m.
The Parent Education Program at Catholic Charities of Oswego County will be offering an informative workshop that will be of interest to all parents and/or guardians of teenagers.
