Regional Summer School Supports Make-A-Wish

For the past six years, students enrolled in the Regional Summer School have raised money in support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central New York, Inc. Students in grades 7-12 took part in the fund-raising efforts in several different ways. Middle school students participated in two hat days to help raise money for the cause and monetary contributions were collected throughout the entire six weeks of school. The final fundraiser for Make-A-Wish was “Guess How Many M & Ms are in the Jar?”

Sheriffs Support 6th Annual “Blue Ribbon Ride” Against Child Abuse

Deputy Robert Ramsey, Jr., representing the Oswego County Deputies Association, presents Victim Advocate, Jennifer Bray (l) and Executive Director of the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County, Olivia VanSanford with a donation in support of the agency’s 6th Annual Blue Ribbon Ride. Scheduled for Saturday, August 22nd, the event is part of the CAC’s Blue Ribbon Campaign that focuses on child abuse awareness and prevention.

The Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County received some much needed support recently for its upcoming 6th Annual “Blue Ribbon Ride” Against Child Abuse. Part of the CAC’s Blue Ribbon Campaign that focuses on awareness and prevention of child abuse in Oswego County, the ‘Blue Ribbon Ride’ is a 80 mile motorcycle ride that will wind throughout Oswego County.
