Compass Federal Credit Union’s canned and non-perishable food drive, which was held August 2 as part of its annual community picnic, was a resounding success, collecting more than 180 items for area food pantries.

The Fulton Elks Club’s Cruise To End Hunger has joined Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s Classic Cars & Chicken,  for a two-location event featuring  classic cars, a motorcycle cruise and chicken barbecues, on Sept. 7 at both 808 W. Broadway and the Elks Lodge at 57 Pierce Drive, Fulton.

The Leprechaun League is for boys in grades 3 – 6 who would like to play basketball in an organized instructional league. Registration will be held September 5 and 6 from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at Trinity Catholic School 115 E. Fifth St.

The Oswego County Legislature’s Economic Development and Planning Committee presented a certificate to members of the Oswego Housing Development Council in honor of the group’s 40th anniversary.

Thirty students in the inaugural cohort of the Fulton Early College High School in Information Technology program experienced their first college class on a collegiate campus this summer, an experience that included learning how to deconstruct and reassemble computers.

Students enrolled in the Center for Instruction, Technology & Innovation’s Summer Edge program recently participated in a service-learning project that benefited the community.
