New York Sea Grant has updated the New York Invasive Species Information Clearinghouse website at nyis.info to include iMapInvasive maps that allow for real-time information, watercraft inspection, and more user-friendly navigation.

 To help waterfront property owners address shoreline erosion issues, New York Sea Grant will host an Erosion Management for Lake Ontario Shoreline Residents workshop from 1 to 4:30 p.m. on  August 30, at the Parkside Lodge in Webster Park, 255 Holt Road, Webster.

Now in its 17th year of existence, the United Way’s Stuff-A-Bus campaign has continually evolved to meet the changing needs of the Oswego County community.

The Church of the Resurrection across from Franklin Square in Oswego is preparing for an open house and hymn sing. All are invited to submit their favorite hymns by Aug. 12 to be included in the program for the September event.

Bishop’s Commons in Oswego will host an educational program by the Alzheimer’s Association, Central New York Chapter entitled, “Effective Communication Strategies,” on August 19 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
