The Friends of History in Fulton, N.Y., Inc. will host its annual Porch Party this year on Flag Day at the John Wells Pratt House, 177 S. First St., June 14 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Several Oswego Middle School students spent a night-in-the-life of local political officials during the re-energized City of Oswego Youth Government Day.

Volney Elementary students recently were honored for having displayed leadership and dedication to their goals throughout the month of May.

“A strong community helps strengthen families,” said Thomas Benedetto, candidate for Oswego County Family Court Judge.

The occasion marked the 92nd anniversary of the club’s founding and continued its collaboration with the Richard S. Shineman Foundation, Pathfinder Bank, and the Tarandi Foundation, whose financial contributions help support the awards.

The Oswego County Healthy Miles coalition has organized several events to encourage people to be physically active and enjoy the area’s natural beauty on National Trails Day, Saturday, June 1.

The observance recognizes the service and sacrifice of U.S. law enforcement members and pays tribute to those who lost their lives in the line of duty.

The Friends of the Oswego Public Library is an organization of patrons committed to expanding and enriching the programs of the library.
