Fourth graders from Fairley Elementary School recently wrapped up a lesson on Colonial America by immersing themselves in the era as they took a step back in time during Ole Fashion Day.

As part of the annual FCSD Parent University event, on-site registration will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 23 at Fulton Junior High School, 129 Curtis St.

The Minetto United Methodist Church will host a free dinner on March 24, serving from 4 to 6 p.m. The menu, subject to change, will be ham with raisin sauce, mashed potatoes, vegetable, bread and dessert.

SUNY Oswego’s annual Honors Convocation will celebrate student academic achievement at 3 p.m. Friday, April 5, in the Marano Campus Center arena and convocation hall, with a keynote by Joni Daniels, a 1977 Oswego alumna, author and principal and founder of her consulting practice, Daniels & Associates.

The Pulaski Historical Society will host Bingo Marathon on April 7 at the Pulaski American Legion, 3350 Maple Ave. Doors open at 11 a.m., selling starts at noon.

Representatives from Oswego County CITI (BOCES) recently traveled to Albany. They met with Assemblyman Will Barclay to discuss career and technical education programs that are offered to students.

“Stepping On,” a workshop designed to help participants improve balance and avoid falls will start on March 18. “Stepping On” is an evidence-based program proven to reduce falls in older adults.

The Paul V. Moore Character Education Committee is proud to recognize students who are making a positive impact in our school and community. Each month faculty members nominate students that embody the attributes and competencies of a Central Square learner.
