The Fulton Family YMCA’s new Buddy-Up For Fitness program offers people an opportunity to get fit together while saving significant money on their YMCA membership, CEO Shonna Sargent announced.

SUNY Oswego teacher candidate Ashley Kirkland wanted to attend the recent presentation in Albany for the prestigious Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher Scholarship, but she was keeping her commitment to help other Brooklyn girls — homeless, in temporary housing — who are trying against all odds to succeed in school, just as Kirkland had.

New York State Law requires that youths ages 10 through 17 successfully complete an eight hour Young Snowmobile Operator Safety Course and be in possession of a Safety Certificate before they can legally operate a snowmobile.

The new science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) after-school program has attracted about 175 students in grades four to six to the Fulton Junior High School from 3:30 to 5:45 p.m. Mondays to Thursdays.
