On November 18 at 9:45 a.m. Most Reverend Robert J. Cunningham, Bishop of Syracuse will celebrate a special Year of the Family Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Syracuse. The Mass will be interpreted for members of the deaf community.

Oswego County Opportunities Development Coordinator Bridget Dolbear met with Culinary Instructor and Executive Chef Sue Jerrett and students in CiTi’s Culinary Arts afternoon class in preparation for OCO’s “Giving Thanks” fundraiser.

Major General Ray Shields, the Adjutant General, announces the recent reenlistment of members of the State National Guard in recognition of their continuing commitment to serve community, state and nation as part of the Army National Guard.

The Scriba Fire Station will host its annual craft show on Nov. 3. It will run from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the station, 5618 State Route 104. Admission is free.

Etan Thomas, who starred for Syracuse University’s basketball team and played in the NBA, will discuss “We Matter: Athletes and Activism” at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 22, in SUNY Oswego’s Marano Campus Center auditorium, Room 132.

The Minetto United Methodist Church will host a free dinner on October 28, serving from 4 to 6 p.m. The menu, subject to change, will be beef stew, honey cornbread, and dessert.

The Rural Health Network of Oswego County and The Maternal and Infant Community Health Collaborative Project will host a lunch and learn session for Oswego County businesses on November 2 from noon to 2:30 p.m.

The Oswego County Legislature’s Human Services Committee presented Julie Barry with a certificate of appreciation for her 25 years of service.
