Blessing of the Animals – in honor of St. Francis, the Rev. Anne Wichelns of Oswego’s Episcopal Church of the Resurrection blessed pets during a Sunday service

Local Blessings in a Backpack programs will hold its third annual “Count Your Blessings” Trivia Night on Nov. 2 at the Oswego Elks Lodge. The joint fundraiser will help provide weekend meals and snacks to around 500 of the most needy children attending Fulton and Oswego schools.

Catholic Charities of Oswego County will host a Fall Festival Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Catholic Charities of Oswego County, 808 W. Broadway.

The Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center will be presenting a public program, Jack Frost Hike, on October 28 at 2 p.m.

The Oswego County Health Department offers a variety of services to all residents of Oswego County, including preventive health services, certified hospice, and a maternal and child health program.

Eagle Beverage representatives made their annual trip to St. Luke Health Services in Oswego with a supply of beer and other specialty beverages for residents, day program registrants, family and friends to sample, while sharing some comradery and laughs as part of their Oktoberfest celebration.

SUNY Oswego’s annual Hart Hall Global Awareness Conference will present Suki Kim, said to be the only writer to have lived undercover in North Korea for immersive journalism, as keynote speaker at 7 p.m. Nov. 10, in Sheldon Hall ballroom.
