The Oswego County Municipal Historians recently awarded the winners of its 2018 photo contest. Twenty people submitted 85 photos to the contest. Finalists were displayed at the Oswego County Fair in Sandy Creek where the public was invited to vote for their favorite picture in nine categories.

Grant Bolsters Arts Center’s Progress

CNY Arts Center is pleased to announce it has received a grant totaling $110,000 from the Richard S. Shineman Foundation for Fulton’s first Community Arts Center. A two-year, $297,500 award from the State University’s Performance Improvement Fund will give new impetus to SUNY Oswego’s efforts to develop the clean energy workforce of tomorrow. The bulk of the award will go toward equipping the teaching lab and a new research lab for electrical and computer engineering’s concentration in modern energy systems.

At that meeting, Karen Swartz, Children’s Program Coordinator, was presented with the Excellence in Customer Service Award for all her work at the Oswego Public Library.
