Youth Overnight Planned At Fulton Family YMCA
On Friday, October 5, youth ages 7-12 can be dropped off at 7 p.m. for an overnight of fun activities. Youth will be engaged in activities all night long including late night swimming, gym time, glow in the dark games, movies on a big screen, dinner, snacks and more.

Grant Funding Will Reimburse County for Upgrades to Zerbe Buildings, Installation of New Dock
With the $100,000 grant, Oswego County, which operates Camp Zerbe – a park used by residents, visitors, schools and community groups – was able to renovate existing buildings and infrastructure as well as replace the dock on Lake Lorraine.

Food For Hungry Kids
Melissa Russell, co-coordinator of Oswego’s Blessings in a Backpack program, organizes the packing effort Sept. 12 as about 75 Pop Warner Football volunteers. The group, including more than 50 children, prepared to pack weekend meals and snacks for 300 needy children in the Oswego City School District.

Oswego Town VFD Barbeque, Open House Set
The Oswego Town Volunteer Fire Department will hold its Fall Chicken Barbeque on October 7 from noon until sold out. Also, the department will hold its annual open house on October 11 at 6 p.m. at the Fire Station, 640 County Route 20, Oswego.

Youth Bureau Accepts Applications for Youth Development Programming
The Oswego City-County Youth Bureau is seeking proposals from community-based not-for-profit organizations for youth development programming in 2019. The youth bureau plans to award funding for one-year programs beginning Jan. 1, 2019.

Psychiatrist Cecile Matip Returns to Oswego Health
Cecile Matip, who is board-certified as both an adult and child/adolescent psychiatrist, has returned to Oswego Health to provide care after living abroad for four years. Dr. Matip is delivering care to inpatient adults who seek medical services at Oswego Health’s Behavioral Health Services Department.
