I just submitted an application to adopt a pit bull puppy from one of the pit bull rescues in our area. I know that they have a hard time being adopted because of all the myths about them (and because they are, let’s face it, a little homely, so I thought I would do my part to save one. Now my next door neighbor isn’t speaking to me and threatened to call the police if I bring the dog home.

Pulaski Historical Society To Hear About Amish

The Pulaski Historical Society will host a program at 7 p.m. on September 27 at the Carriage House at 3428 Maple Ave. in Pulaski. Bonnie Carpenter will be giving a brief history of the Amish sect then discuss the events that led up to the Ohio Amish coming to this area.

New Horizons Band and Chorus Summer Concert Set

The chorus will perform a variety of familiar and favorite tunes, including Singing in the Rain, I’m Always Chasing Rainbows, and other summertime weather-related songs. The band will play such numbers as Autumn Leaves; Hey, Look Me Over; A Chorus Line Spectacular; Billy Joel in Concert; Sempre Fidelis; and the Gillette Look Sharp March.
