WIRED Telcom, a new expanding employer in Oswego, will hold an informational hiring event at 11 a.m. June 25, at the Oswego County Workforce NY office at 200 N. Second St., Fulton.

CNY Arts Center’s Arts Hotspot, 47 S. First St ., is gearing up for a full weekend of entertainment options June 16 and 17 including comedy for young and old(er) and a spotlight on two local authors. HotSpot is directly across from the town gazebo where the work of noted photographer Kelley Parker is also on display for public viewing.

Johnna M. Tombolillo a senior Marketing major with a graphic design minor from SUNY Oswego, has joined the Chirello Advertising team as an intern for this summer.

The Oswego County Office for the Aging will distribute farmers’ market coupon booklets beginning June 27. The coupons may only be used to buy locally-grown fresh fruits and vegetables from participating farmers and at participating farmers’ markets.

To be on the list, a student must have achieved an A in all coursework (4.0 grade point average) while taking at least 12 credit hours.

The State University of New York at Potsdam recently named 855 students to the President’s List, in recognition of their academic excellence in the Spring 2018 semester.

To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher (based on 4.0) during the semester.

Twenty-three students earned honor graduate status, signifying that they had maintained an average of 90 or above for all four years of high school. These students will wear a medal during their graduation ceremony.
