SUNY Oswego to revive monster musical comedy ‘Young Frankenstein’

Dr. Frankenstein's monster - a kinder, gentler fiend played by SUNY Oswego junior Jared Gould, who accepts young Ella Culligan's flowery gift -- stars in the theatre and music departments' presentation of the comedic spoof "Young Frankenstein," previewing on at 7:30 p.m. April 24, and running at 7:30 p.m. April 25 and 26 and May 3 before closing with a 2 p.m. matinee May 4. All performances will place in Tyler Hall's Waterman Theatre.A comic spoof on the legend of Frankenstein comes to life this month as SUNY Oswego’s theatre and music departments present an adaptation based on the 1974 hit film and 2007 Broadway play “Young Frankenstein” in Tyler Hall’s Waterman Theatre. The play will preview at 7:30 p.m. April 24, and run 7:30 p.m. April 25 and 26 and May 3, with the matinee finale at 2 p.m. May 4.

Fulton Community Theatre To Hold Auditions For One-Act Plays

First-time directors in spotlightThe production will consist of two one-act plays: “Take Five” a comedy by Westley M. Pederson, to be directed by Donald Crowe and “Who Am I This Time?” by Christopher Sergel, based on the short story by Kurt Vonnegut Jr., to be directed by Valeri Roscoe Dedich. Auditions will be held on April 21 and 22 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Holy Trinity Church, 309 Buffalo St.

Fulton Community Theatre Presents Tenebrae To Benefit Catholic Charities’ Food Pantry

Al Weaver (front center), Robbie Brown (back left), and Michael Bolio, collectively known as The Sent Forth will bring their talents back to Jubilee Hall of Holy Trinity Parish in Fulton on April 5 in “Tenebrae” a rock and roll Easter cantata as part of Fulton Community Theatre’s 24th season. The work tells through musical and dramatic narration the passion of the season.The musical work – composed and directed by Michael A. Bolio, and featuring the talents of the Christian rock band The Sent Forth – will play for one performance on April 5 in the Jubilee Hall of Holy Trinity Parish, 309 Buffalo St., Fulton. Curtain time for the performance is 7:30 p.m. Proceeds from the event will go to help support the mission of Catholic Charities of Oswego County.
