Great music and live comedy will highlight Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s Inaugural Fall Gala. Scheduled for Sept. 16, the event will be held at the American Foundry.
Founded about six years ago by Doreen Macklen, her husband Dale and son Jim, all of Boylston, the show has grown into a “heritage show-and-tell” of vintage farm machinery, crafts, music, and traditional agricultural activities from the rural North Country.
The Oswego Opera Theater announces auditions for members of the Opera Chorus, on Sept. 12, starting at 4:30 p.m in Room 102 of Tyler Hall on the SUNY Oswego campus.
“Telling Tales: The Arts and Discovery” is the thematic banner for a lineup of musicians, dancers, actors, filmmakers and other artists who will visit the lakeside campus during the academic year.
In the tradition of beloved local storyteller, Mrs. Rosemary Nesbitt, we will gather at the Museum’s historic 1925 New York State Derrick Boat No. 8 for a night of mysteries, myths and ghost stories. Well-known tales told over the years will be presented as well as stories involving shipwrecks and disappearances.
