The Oswego Lions Club presents “Toots and Giggles†with Headliner Jamie Lissow, Friday, January 15th at the American Foundry, 246 West Seneca Street, in Oswego. Doors will open at 7:00 pm.; show begins at 8:00 pm.
The scrolls come from the personal collection of Dr. Geraldine Forbes, a distinguished teaching professor of history at SUNY Oswego and a renowned scholar on India. Forbes will give a gallery talk at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 29. The event is part of the welcoming reception, free and open to the public, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Mushers, skiers, and outdoor lovers of all ages are invited to explore the Winona Forest Recreation Area on Saturday, Jan. 16, at the third annual Winona Forest Recreation Association (WFRA) Winterfest. The event starts at 9 a.m. at the CCC Camp on Co. Rt. 90 in Lorraine. The recreation area features more than 70 miles of groomed trails in northern Oswego and southern Jefferson counties.

This is a free event to raise awareness of local, family-friendly outdoor winter activities and to promote usage of Winona State Forest.
Winterfest includes a cross country ski race, Pennsylvania Dog Sled Club demonstrations and rides, snow sculptures, and more.
The H. Lee White Marine Museum, which is located at the end of Oswego’s West First Street Pier, is the place to be this month as they once again present “December Excitement.†Hours of operation are 1-5pm daily until the 23rd, and the Museum’s ‘Treasure Chest†gift shop is open to browse for free during those hours.All Content Copyright Dot Publishing 2024.
