My cat, Betsy, has been my best friend for sixteen years now and she has been a great companion through many adventures. But when I took her on a road trip earlier this summer in our RV she spent the whole trip yowling in her carrier. She has never done that before. I ended up coming home early because she was so upset. Even now she does not seem to be the same happy cat as before the trip.

We would like to formally introduce to you a gentle, shy creature… This is Holly. She already has on her best tuxedo suit and is ready to dance the night away. She can be shy at first (she doesn’t want to be prom queen). But certainly loves attention and would want to be petted all day long.

James Hook is a handsome kitten pirate ready for adventure! He may be shy at first, but is a world renowned snuggler once he gets to know you. He has a purr as loud as a ticking clock inside of a crocodile’s belly.

Captain Hook loves to explore and is always on the search for his kind of buried treasure – a forever home.

Last week, we responded to a question about a cat that may have been suffering from a condition known as “chronic idiopathic/post-viral rhinitis.” We focused on the need for a veterinary examination and what to do to manage the condition once it is diagnosed. But what about preventing it from happening in the first place?

Primrose is a sweet, playful young kitten, the last of our District 12 tributes still waiting for a forever home. She is a snuggly typical kitten, and as you can see, a very good napper. When she wakes up, she’s adventurous and absolutely loves to play – especially with catnip toys and balls with bells or something similar in them.

My cat, Sneezy, got that name because he sneezes and coughs and his nose runs almost all the time. He doesn’t really seem sick otherwise. He eats fine and plays and seems happy. But should I be worried?

But here’s another one that I would like some advice about. What about pets in homes where there is domestic violence? Are they also at risk of abuse?

Wendy Darling is the sweet and loving caretaker of her litter, with remarkable tortoiseshell coloring throughout her soft fur. She certainly has a soft spot in her heart for all orphaned creatures and tends to mother her siblings with much love and attention. She will be available for adoption starting July 20.

My grandmother, who is 96, has to go into an assisted living care facility in the near future as she can’t take care of herself adequately at home any more. She is fighting us on this. Not because she really thinks she can live on her own, but because she won’t leave her cats, Mindy and Mork.
