APW Announces Winter, Spring Sports Scholar Athletes

At the end of each high school sports season, the New York State Public High School Athletic Association honors those teams and individuals that excel in the classroom. These student-athletes work very hard at both their sport and their academics and deserve to be recognized for their outstanding academic success.

U.S. News recently reported that women such as MBA degree candidate Charlene Assam are in good company at SUNY Oswego, which placed No. 5 nationally on the media corporation's Short List of MBA programs with the highest percentage of women students. Oswego's MBA programs enroll nearly 53 percent women.

U.S. News ranks SUNY Oswego top-5 nationally for MBA enrollment of women

In announcing the list of just six colleges and universities with enrollments of more than half — and four with nearly half — women in MBA programs, U.S. News reported that fewer than 40 percent of full-time MBA students enrolled at ranked business schools nationally were women in fall 2016. Female students were in the minority at 122 of the 130 ranked business schools that provided gender-ratio statistics to U.S. News in an annual survey.

St. Luke Family of Caring Honors Volunteers from Across Organizations

St. Luke Family of Caring volunteers were recognized for the tremendous contributions made in the lives of those served by the local healthcare affiliates during a gathering held in their honor at the Elks Lodge in Oswego. The gathering brought together volunteers of all ages from St. Luke Health Services, Bishop’s Commons and St. Francis Commons in Oswego and Michaud Health Services in Fulton.
