SUNY Oswego will offer a free public reception for award-winning poet and artist Rachael Z. Ikins and two students participating in the college’s Downtown Artist Series from 5 to 7 p.m. March 31, at Oswego State Downtown. Find Your Color was prepared by Architectural Historian, Susan Arena, who grew up in Fulton but now resides and works in the greater Boston area. Find Your Color provides definitions to help homeowners decide what style their home is. Once the style is determined, homeowners may select an approved color scheme from the coordinating chart, found in the Paint Colors section. By using the charts, each style can identify acceptable paint colors and where to use them appropriately.
For the second year in a row, the CoRE (Comet Robotics Engineers) Robotics team from Sandy Creek Middle/Senior High School will be headed to Louisville, Kentucky, to the VEX Robotics World Competition, where teams from all over the globe will come together in the prestigious competition.
At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting, District 7150 Governor Jenny Doane introduced Kristin Earle, development director for the CNY chapter for Cystic Fibrosis.
“We are pleased to once again make this connection between Girls Scout troops and SUNY Oswego,” said Diann Jackson of Rice Creek. “The day’s activities are designed to build skills and develop a deep appreciation for nature.”
Music Teacher Hope Lawton selected one student from each classroom who embody the following qualities during their music special: perseverance, attentiveness, positive attitude, helping others and respectfulness.
