Ian Giovannetti of Fulton recently graduated from Champlain College. Giovannetti received a bachelor’s degree in Management of Creative Media with a possible specialization and/or minor.
With more than 400 people attending last year’s event, the raffle party has become an afternoon of fun for all, especially if you are a winner of one of the many fabulous door prizes featured, or if you are among the 15 lucky cash prize winners in the “Bundle of Bucks” raffle cash drawing.
On May 20, the Oswego High School Interact Club will join with Oswego Sunrise Rotary and Friends of the Library to present a dinner and movie event at the new Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center at Alexandria’s in Oswego. The purpose of the event is to raise money for support of the Oswego City Library, as well as support other local community services and events.
The 15th Annual Walk/Run for Hope is slated for June 7 at the Wright’s Landing Pavilion. The 5K is part of the Oswego County Hospice Cup Regatta. You can register on line at ezracereg.com or call 343-5223 for a registration form.
Executive Director of Oswego County Opportunities Diane Cooper-Currier announced the installation of the new slate of officers OCO’s board of directors at OCO’s annual meeting held April 23 at Springside at Seneca Hill.
Katherine E. Abramski of Oswego received an award at St. Lawrence University’s Moving-Up Day ceremony, which was held on April 26 in Canton. A member of the Class of 2014, Abramski graduated from Oswego High School.
The theme for this year’s Memorial Day Salute Parade is “Show Your Gratitude to Veterans.” Many area individuals, organizations, businesses and industries will try to develop their interpretation of this theme in the vehicles or floats they will enter in the parade on May 24.

Keynote speaker Lynn “Spike” Herzig brings a dynamic perspective in hospitality training and marketing experience to the May 19 Tourism Ambassador workshop at the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center in Oswego. The workshop will focus on tourism assets and the visitor’s experience for an audience of front-line staff, property owners, managers, and others interested in Oswego County’s tourism businesses and attractions.
