The Minetto United Methodist Church will host a free dinner on October 27, serving from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The APW Faculty Association is joining with the APW Parent-Teacher-Student Association and the Williamstown and Parish public libraries to host ‘Story Time with Teachers.’ The 2013-14 school year marks the second year of the educational outreach program where teachers from the school district host a monthly story, craft, and snack hour at the public library in the Parish and the Williamstown communities.
Oswego County BOCES Culinary Arts students enrolled in Chef Sue Jerrett’s classroom recently had the opportunity to serve as sous chefs for the fourth annual Cornell Cooperative Extension Harvest Dinner. The experience gave students a valuable lesson in food preparation.

On Oct 26 at 2 p.m. Wager’s Country-Apple will host the second annual fall story telling fest. Haunted barns, spooky beaches, ghost ships and true Halloween tragedies will be among the tales told and stories shared. Author Susan Peterson Gateley will kick off this year’s session with two true Halloween storm stories from Lake Ontario.
Whoot! The Subway and Dollar General are now open! It sure looks like they are both being very well received here in Parish. It’s great to welcome new businesses and have choices. The Mills and Petrie Memorial Gymnasium were bustling with meetings on October 9.

Ryan, who is 12, was riding a mountain bike at camp at Casowasco when he hit a rock on the trail, lost control of the bicycle and hit a tree.
The Oswego County Health Department offers a variety of services to all residents of Oswego County, including preventive health services, certified home health care, long-term home health care, certified hospice, and a maternal and child health program.
Oswego High School “Spirit Week” was much more than a celebration in preparation for the annual homecoming event. Junior Class Co-Advisor Tai Jackson said, “Oswego High School students accomplished quite a bit during the week as there was an effort to support the battle against Pediatric Cancer and to provide more awareness to this.”
