Fulton Rotarian Zach Menter introduced the new director of the Oswego County Emergency Management Office, Dale Currier. Dale gave a very informative presentation on Emergency Household Family Preparedness.

Fun and games at Lanigan – The Lanigan Elementary Block Party, held annually at the school, provided an opportunity for parents, students and teachers to come together for hot dogs, entertainment and conversation.

Upstate New York musician Jared Campbell kicked off the year at Kenney Middle School with his presentation on bullying. Campbell sang original songs, his message focusing on overcoming obstacles and appreciating others.

Sixth graders and their parents/guardians in the Sandy Creek School District had an opportunity to meet their teachers, tour the middle school/high school building and familiarize themselves with their classrooms.

Oswego High School August graduates were presented their diplomas at the September 10 Oswego City School District Board of Education meeting. Several students attended the brief ceremony.

Musician Jared Campbell made his way to Fulton for the second week of school, stopping at Granby and Volney Elementary School to speak to students about bullying, and what it means to be a good friend.

On October 7 starting at 1 p.m. the Parish Public Library through the North Country Library System will be offering a beginners class in basic Excel spreadsheet formatting. Topics covered include: parts of the spreadsheet, creating basic charts and working with simple formulas.
