Sprayer Calibration Meeting Scheduled

The Oswego Players’ 75th season continues its fall showcase productions with “Don’t Drink the Water,” with long-time member and actress Sherri Baker in the director’s chair.
This Woody Allen farce is set in a foreign embassy, where all sorts of mayhem take place.
On August 16, First United Church of Fulton, 33 S. Third St., will feature a drive-in movie for children and families in the church parking area starting at 8:30 p.m. This 107-minute movie will be a recent release rated PG.
There is no charge.
The program enrolls three- and four-year-old children and is provided at no cost to families. Head Start’s goal is to promote school readiness through hands-on learning, active play, and nutritious meals and snacks.
Both departments are active participants in the Wear It Oswego program. Free loaner life jackets are available at both Wright’s Landing and the East Side Fire Station.
Another week of Arty fun is waiting for children at the second session of CNY Arts Center’s Arty Day Camp. Set August 19-23 at the Center, 357 State St., Fulton, the camp will offer students a choice of art, writing, dance and theatre classes along with lunch and afternoon group art projects from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
All events start on the Mexico High School athletic fields. The fun run begins at 8:30 a.m. on the track and the 5K Cider Run/Walk begins at 9 a.m. on Liberty Street. The first 125 registrants for the 5K run/walk receive a free long-sleeved T-shirt, designed especially for the Cider Run by Custom Novelty Prints.
The Oswego Lions Club will hold its eighth annual “Cow Chip Bingo” fundraiser on September 14 at Lighthouse Lanes in Oswego. Once again this year we will feature a classic car show as well as Lighthouse Lanes’ “world famous chicken BBQ.” The “Cow Chip Bingo” portion of the event will run from noon to 3 p.m.

The Oswego County Legislature’s Government, Courts and Consumer Affairs Committee presented Kimberly Winterhalt with a certificate of appreciation for 15 years of service to Oswego County.
