The G. Ray Bodley Class of 1973 will hold its 40th reunion on August 9 and 10. On Aug. 9, there will be an informal get together at Battle Island Golf Course beginning at 6 p.m. with hors d’oeuvers and a cash bar. August 10, will feature a buffet dinner with cash bar at Tavern on the Lock, 24 S. First St., Fulton, beginning at 5 p.m.
Kingford Park Home and School Inc. awarded two scholarships in the amount of $500 each to KPS alumni Dylan Morgia and David Culeton. This is the fourth year that KPS Home and School has awarded scholarship dollars to students who attended grades K – 6 at the elementary school. The scholarship dollars awarded are based on the success of the “Polar Express Pajama Party” that is organized by KPS Home and School in December.
The Oswego County Autism Task Force is pleased to announce the availability of funding available for not for profit organizations to provide services and other opportunities to individuals and families who are touched by an Autism Spectrum Disorder. If you are proposing a summer activity, applications due by June 30 and funding will be awarded by July 1. If you are looking at an activity to take place in the fall or winter, please have your application in by August 1.
When members of the planning committee for the City of Fulton Employees Annual Golf Tournament met to work on the details for this year’s tournament they wanted to ensure that the proceeds would be used to help youth and families in the Fulton.
The Friends of the Oswego Public Library will hold a fundraiser June 28 at Friendly’s. Get together with family and friends to help us, while you help yourself to some great food. With a Friendly’s Family Fun Day everybody wins.
The Fulton Public Library is now hosting teen programming. There will be a six-week Summer Reading Program at the library for one hour every Wednesday starting July 10 at 2 p.m. The program is archaeology themed and will feature activities, games and snacks.
Do you like to look at the cars of yesterday? They seem to have more style than those we drive today. You will have your chance on August 3 at the North Volney Methodist Church. The car show will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.on the church grounds with free admission.
Untimely rain moved the Lanigan Elementary School Annual Game Day event from an outside activity to an inside activity, but the rain couldn’t stop the fun.
Recently, students at Granby Elementary School celebrated Game Day inside with ‘Minute To Win It’ activities.
The H. Lee White Museum and Maritime Center’s 2013 History Lecture Series features Daniel Ward, curator of Collections and Exhibitions at the Erie Canal Museum in Syracuse, who will be presenting “Folklore of New York Inland Waterways,” on June 22 at 1:30 p.m.
