Join professionals in the search for spirits at the Starr Clark Tin Shop and Underground Railroad Museum on Main Street in Mexico. The 1800s Tin Shop was the headquarters for the Underground Railroad. It was here that Starr Clark, a local tinsmith, and other Mexico abolitionists made plans to help runaway slaves get to freedom in Canada.
The Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Elementary School Spring Art and Music Festival gave students at the school an opportunity to showcase their many artistic and musical talents.
Students at Oswego County BOCES are joining nationwide efforts to find a cure for breast cancer. The students in Joanne St. Gelais and Marian Becker’s classrooms worked cooperatively to coordinate a community service project that generated funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
The free bone density screening is part of a program conducted by nurses from Michaud and St. Luke Health Services at various locations through the year. It is open to the public.
My dog, Tucker, loves to go for walks in the woods with me and we do that all the time. But here’s the problem. He also loves to roll around on the ground and much of the ground in my woods is covered by poison ivy. Is he in any danger of getting a rash from poison ivy? And, I was told that I could get it from touching his fur after he has rolled.
