To be eligible for the Dean’s List at St. Lawrence University, a student must have completed at least four semester units and have an academic average of 3.6 (based on a perfect 4.0 scale) for the semester.

Carissa Reed of Oswego has earned High Honors for the spring semester of the 2012-2013 academic year at the University of New Hampshire. Students named to the Dean’s List at the University of New Hampshire are students who have earned recognition through their superior scholastic performance.

On Saturday, eight members of the 12th Capitular District welcomed Grand Royal Arch Captain of Guard Allan M. Bayant. He is a member of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons.

The Fulton Community Theatre’s latest production in its Evening on Broadway series, “The Golden Age of Broadway, the Music of Porter, Kern, Gershwin, Cohan, Berlin and Rodgers & Hart” will open June 21 with a 7:30 p.m. performance in Jubilee Hall at Holy Trinity Parish, 309 Buffalo St.

Child Care Aware of America announced its support for S. 1086, the Child Care Development and Block Grant Act of 2013, introduced today in the U.S. Senate, which would better protect the health and improve safety of children in child care settings across America.

The New York Sea Grant Launch Steward Program has expanded to include Sodus Bay, the largest sheltered bay on Lake Ontario. A popular recreational and tourism area, Sodus Bay is an excellent place for the New York Sea Grant Launch Steward Program to be educating the public about the importance of preventing and slowing the spread of harmful aquatic hitchhikers.

Oswego High School junior Nina Alcasid will present a solo piano recital at 3 p.m. on June 23 at The Church of the Resurrection, 120 W. Fifth St., Oswego. The program is free and open to the public. And, those who would like to, may donate to the Oswego Hospital Auxiliary.

The Frederick Leighton Elementary School Home and School Association hosted the 13th annual “All-You-Can-Eat” pancake breakfast to raise funds for the school’s annual Circus Program for the 2013-14 school year. It took place from 8:30 a.m. to noon on June 9 at the Oswego Elks Lodge, 132 W. Fifth St.
