SUNY Oswego has received a SUNY High Needs Program grant of $183,800 to accelerate development of its engineering programs and recruit and prepare students for high-need jobs in the region.
Rose Chamberlin of Oswego earned a bachelor’s degree from Wells College. Rose majored in psychology and was awarded the Ariel Lawson ’08 Memorial Prize.

The Scriba Food Pantry has served thousands of meals over the years to many residents in the town of Scriba. In fact, we’ve given out more than 1,000 meals in just the last three months. We have recently lost some much needed funding.
The H. Lee White Museum and Maritime Center’s 2013 History Lecture Series features Daniel Ward, curator of Collections and Exhibitions at the Erie Canal Museum in Syracuse, who will be presenting “Folklore of New York Inland Waterways” on June 22 at 1:30 p.m.
The event, which was hosted in conjunction with Sunnking Electronics Recycling and Time Warner Cable, benefited United Way of Greater Oswego County, with a penny per-pound recycled going to the organization.
On June 6, the members of Watertown Commandery No. 11 and Lake Ontario Commandery No. 32 installed their slates of officers for 2013 – 2014. The members of the two Commanderys gathered at Sandy Creek Masonic Temple and conducted their monthly meeting.
