Area Girl Scouts were recently recognized at ceremonies throughout the Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways, for earning the Girl Scout Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards. The prestigious Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award a Girl Scout can earn.

To be eligible for Dean’s List, Patane maintained a GPA of 3.25 or higher and was enrolled in 12 or more credit hours.

The following students were named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2013 semester at Clarkson University:

Through its Program Initiative Fund, the Cayuga Community College Foundation is supporting Business Instructor Amy Valente’s work to research and design a new certificate program in hospitality and tourism. The suggestion to explore this area for a possible new program came from discussions of faculty and community members who serve on the College’s Program Development Committee.

It’s time to mark your calendars for the annual Heritage Foundation of Oswego County Antique Show held Harborfest Weekend. The event will be held in the historic Oswego YMCA Armory at 265 W. First St. on July 27 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and  July 28 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

The College at Brockport, State University of New York, has awarded scholarships to members of its incoming freshman class who have demonstrated academic excellence.

The following students were named to the Honors List for the spring 2013 semester at SUNYIT:

During the 38th Annual Professional Advancement and Pinning Ceremony in May, Cayuga Community College honored 34 graduates of the A.A.S. nursing program and presented Commencement awards to 15 graduates.

The grass is green, the flowers are in bloom and music is in the air at Granby Elementary School. The school hosted the final concert of the 2012-13 school year on Wednesday.
