When the community-based not-for-profit Oz Roller Girls Inc., which runs the league, wanted to honor the Port City’s nautical heritage with an active new look, league member and ABC Account Manager Jamie Leszczynski (aka J-Rock-It) successfully pitched her agency to provide the pro bono work.
Cayuga Community College Fulton Campus students and advisors, participating in the Student Government Organization, the Business Leadership Club, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and the Veteran’s Club, recently presented a check presentation to Danielle Hayden, director of the Oswego Branch of the American Red Cross and coordinator of the Local Heroes for the American Red Cross campaign.
Students at Altmar-Parish-Williamstown held an art and music showcase where student work lined hallways and was on display in several rooms around the Junior/Senior High School. Musical performances were held in the cafeteria where visitors could sit and listen to the many talented performers before and after viewing the artwork.
Nazareth College undergraduate students were among a class of 570 earning their bachelor’s degrees at the 86th annual commencement ceremony that took place at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester on May 12.
Families from Oswego county Opportunities Pinewoods Head Start and Fulton Head Start centers walked in the Fulton Memorial Day Salute Parade to show their support for our Head Start program.
Bishop Commons Enriched Living Residence in Oswego is hosting the next in a series of educational programs presented by the Alzheimer’s Association entitled, “Legal and Financial Planning.” The series will be held on June 12 and 19 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
