Some Good News For Animal Lovers

On May 1, Eric Schneiderman, the New York State Attorney General, announced an Animal Protection Initiative aimed at shutting down criminal animal fighting rings, ensuring compliance with New York State’s Pet Lemon Law, charging and prosecuting those who abuse or neglect animals, and cracking down on the abuses of “puppy mills” in order to protect the welfare of the animals being sold and consumers.

CNY Arts Center announces art gallery opening

With a successful start to programming and events in its State Street facility, CNY Arts Center is expanding its community presence with the soft opening of Arts in the Heart Gallery in downtown Fulton at 47 S. First St. A grand opening open house is scheduled for June 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with harpist Marcella Slater performing from 2 to 4 p.m.
