The Oswego Evangelical Alliance of Churches invite all to a Good Friday Service with music and a message for the Easter Season. It will be held on March 29 at 7 p.m. at Elim Grace Christian Church, 340 W. First St.
Each month, St. Luke residents are welcomed by store owner Bill Reilly and his staff. Volunteer and book club leader Mary Ann Hogan reads selected works and leads a discussion about the material covered.
“We greatly appreciate this generous, continued support and partnership with National Grid,” said Diane Cooper-Currier, OCO executive director. “They’ve been a considerable advocate of OCO over the years and we are thrilled to have them participate again this year.”
Dr. Alfred Frederick, distinguished service professor in SUNY Oswego’s School of Education, will be a visiting professor and scholar in residence at the State University of Piaui in Brazil beginning this summer.
Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges is an annual awards program honoring the nation’s leading junior college students.
At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Donna Kestner introduced Earl Holdren from the Civil Air Patrol. The program was started in 1941 and organized under the Civil Defense Department.
Sandy Creek High School students, who have volunteered their time to become “fairy godmothers” for Cinderella’s Closet from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 23 at the Make Sense Shop in Pulaski, were busy sorting through some of the dresses that will be distributed to area prom-goers.
Plans are under way for one of the area’s premier fundraising events, the Oswego Christian Community School’s sixth annual auction. Scheduled for April 20 the auction will be held from 1 – 4 p.m. at Oswego Elks Lodge #271, corner of West Fifth and Bridge streets in Oswego.
CYO Program Coordinator, George Timmins announced that the CYO program of Catholic Charities of Oswego County would be extending its hours and offering additional gym time for the upcoming spring break.
