All Oswego County residents are encouraged to participate. The survey is available on-line at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/OCOPublicSurvey and www.oswegocounty.com, and in print form at several public agencies. Completed surveys should be submitted by July 7.

The Educational Support Service Personnel (ESSP) organization presented Oswego County BOCES Special Education Teacher Tammy Seymour with the 2012 Robert F. Panara Award.

The test is a portion of the regular testing program of the Oswego County emergency alert system. This quarterly testing includes individual activation of each siren.  No response by the public is required during these tests.

Staff from Oswego County Opportunities Services to Aid Families program welcomed Senator Patty Ritchie, town of Parish officials and community members for a tree planting ceremony in Parish. Held in recognition of National Crime Victims Week and Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the tree planting honored victims of crime in Oswego County.

There will be a variety of items for sale, including vintage books, household items and collectibles. A large assortment of picture frames of various shapes and styles will be up for sale. The society will have free ice cream sundaes for visitors from noon to 4 p.m.

Bridget Dolbear, coordinator of OCO Senior Services and Mary Lou Guindon, Parish site manager, welcomed a number of elected officials to OCO’s Senior Dining and Activity Center in Parish as part of OCO’s March for Meals.

One of the area’s most anticipated and largest golf tournaments, the United Way of Greater Oswego County’s Annual Golf Classic will be held July 16 at one of Central New York’s finest private golf courses, the Oswego County Club

The new employees, who will join the OCO’s staff of human services professionals, recently completed the agency’s orientation process and will begin to serve consumers in their respective programs.
