Michael Ellis, a resident of Central Square, was among the class of more than 451 graduate students at Nazareth College who received master’s and doctoral degrees during the College’s 85th Commencement Exercises held on May 12.
Dusten Wells of Mexico is participating in the National Student Steel Bridge Competition May 25 and 26 at Clemson University. Wells is a member of SUNY Canton’s steel bridge team. More than 500 students from 47 universities are participating in the competition.
The annual St. Luke “Bundle of Bucks” Charity Raffle event saw hundreds of people take part in the raffle drawing party and fifteen lucky winners walked away with a share of the $25,000 in cash prizes – including Dennis Baney of Auburn who was the grand prize winner of $10,000!
The Oswego Middle School Top 50 was recognized at the eighth annual “Top 50” dinner. Once again the Oswego Sunrise Rotary Club, the Oswego City School District and Pathfinder Bank sponsored the special event to place the OMS students in the spotlight.
The fourth annual Ride for Ramps promises to be bigger and better than ever. It will be held 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on June 9 at Woodchuck’s, 1 Mitchell St, Oswego.
