Third Ward Informational Meeting Results in Change

A recent informational meeting for the Third Ward organized by Third Ward councilor and council president, Donald Patrick Jr. allowed residents to express questions and concerns. The first meeting allowed the city’s Department of Public Works Commissioner Charles Smith III to help field questions and provide information to residents. Commissioner Smith provided information on city garbage pick up, road work funding and restrictions, infrastructure, sewer and water bills, proper collection of yard materials, and more.

“I’ve been stationed at Naval Base San Diego my entire tour,” he told Oswego County Today. “I was driving to work one day, I think it was February 21, and in front of me a vehicle ran a stop light.” Two other vehicles were caught up in the ensuing collision. Preliminary Budget Draft Considers Possible Layoffs

Fulton City School District’s preliminary draft of the 2018-2019 school year budget considers the possibility for six positions to be cut within the district. Faced with an estimated $2 million shortfall in revenues before the use of reserves, the district is continuing to be “creative” and “extensive” in approaching the gap, Superintendent Brian Pulvino said, however, the potential for layoffs is still possible.
