Fulton Block Builders have been getting a lot of calls since announcing the acceptance of Pre-Applications (go to https://www.fultonblockbuilders.com/) on March 1st, 2017. Most people are busy organizing their blocks already but some are a bit confused and even sometimes wondering if there is a “catch.” First and foremost, there is no “catch,” there is no income requirement, there is no payback!
Superintendent of Schools for the Fulton City School District, Brian Pulvino issued an important notice to all parents of students within the district regarding an incident at one of the schools this morning (March 9.) “G. Ray Bodley High School administration was informed by a student at 8:15 a.m. this morning that another student at GRB made an alleged threatening statement about initiating harm to others at the school,” the letter detailed.

As of today, (March 6) petitions are available for three open seats on the Fulton City School District Board of Education. The three open terms will commence July 1, 2017 and expire on June 30, 2020. Petitions are available at the office of the Superintendent at the Fulton Education Center located at 167 S. Fourth St. and must be returned to be filed with the district clerk between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. no later than April 26.
Ten sibling altogether, yet only nine of them have found each other. The oldest of 10 siblings, Elyzabeth Hernandez has been desperately searching for her youngest sibling, now 16 years old, whose last known location was in Fulton, NY.
A presentation to the Board of Education surrounding graduation rates within Fulton City School District shows a 7% increase from last school year. Of the cohort of students that entered the high school in the year 2012, 76% of FCSD students graduated in June 2016 with a Local, Regents or Regents with Advanced Distinction diploma after four years.
The Fulton Block Builders (FBB) has announced details for the 2017 Block Challenge, a program that offers matching funds to each participating home owner up to $1,000 (dollar-for-dollar match) to put towards exterior home improvements. The program encourages and rewards neighborhood groups to work together in an effort to reinvest in their own communities. Block Challenge Grant, Pre-Applications must be submitted by April 1, 2017. Look to see if your neighborhood is in one of the Target Areas.
