Fulton Schedules City Wide Yard Sales
The east side garage sale day will take place first, happening this Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Anyone and everyone on the east side of the city is welcome to participate by hosting a yard sale.

“Head Start began as a summer program 50 years ago. In 1972, the program transferred to OCO and was originally only in Oswego and Fulton. Over the years, we have expanded quite a bit. We now have three centers located in Fulton, one in Oswego, one in Phoenix, one in Williamstown, one in Cleveland and one in our newest location, Mexico,” said Beth Kazel, director of education services of OCO.
After working to obtain the necessary permits for two years, Fulton began and completed one year of dredging at Lake Neatahwanta. Within the year, 20,000 cubic yards were dredged from the lake in the area that was formerly known as Stevenson Beach. The dredging will resume in mid-July, only because they are unable to start dredging until fish spawning season is over. It will continue until snowfall.
Early Saturday (May 30), at approximately 1:20 a.m., residents were awakened when their home at 2051 County Route 176 was struck by a Chevy Silverado. “The vehicle stopped literally within seven feet of my stepfather who was sleeping on the couch in the living room,” said Jeremick Dunham, former resident of the house. The house is now occupied by his mother, stepfather and sister.

Paige Yeomans Arnold was a first grade student at Palmer Elementary School in Baldwinsville when she was diagnosed with leukemia.
