The city of Fulton could save a quarter-million dollars each year with more energy efficient street lights but a state roadblock makes it impossible for the local municipality to make the change. “It’s wrong,” Fulton resident Dennis Merlino said. “We should be allowed to change a light bulb.”

Oswego County Drug Task Force Announces Arrest of Volney Man

A search warrant was executed on the residence of Martin E. Madden in the town of Volney following an investigation conducted by the Oswego County Drug Task Force, the Fulton City Police Department and the Oswego County Sheriff’s Department. The search warrant reportedly resulted in the discovery of 27 marihuana plants and more than two pounds of processed marihuana and fireworks within his residence and outbuildings, it was announced Oct. 22.

With Winter Approaching, Fulton Police Remind Motorists To Follow The Rules of the Road

With winter weather approaching and the snowy and slippery road conditions that go with it, the Fulton Police Department wants to remind motorists to follow the rules of the road. Some of the following reminders should be common sense, others may be confusing or unknown to some motorists. The most obvious of those rules in bad road conditions is to make sure motorists leave enough space between vehicles when driving.

CNY Arts Center announces Partnership with Cayuga Community College

CNY Arts Center is pleased to announce an agreement has been reached with Cayuga Community College at the River Glen Plaza. CNY Arts Center will establish its primary location on campus, including Arts in the HeArt Gallery, in a move to merge the arts community with the college community. This will not only provide a home for the multi-arts center but also support opportunities and collaborations for students with access to the theatre and gallery space.
