Fulton Woman Charged With Criminal Sex Act

Lisa A. Merritt, 51, of Fulton, was arrested after an investigation by the Fulton Police Department. According to police, Merritt is accused of engaging in sexual conduct with a person over the course of a two-year period starting when the victim was 14 years of age. These incidents occurred at the suspect’s home in the city of Fulton.

Fulton Bridge Work Going ‘Better Than Expected’

Signs and baricades warn pedestrians who wish to cross the Broadway Bridge that they are required to use the free daytime shuttle service.The New York state Route 3 Broadway Bridge rehabilitation remains in winter hiatus, but despite the delay of one construction season, the project, sidewalk shuttle service and traffic patterns are moving along better than expected. Department of Transportation spokesman Gene Cilento said Jan. 17 that the comprehensive bridge rebuild is going as planned.

Fulton Police Officer Injured During Overnight Arrest

A Fulton Police officer was injured during an arrest overnight on the city’s east side.
Fulton Police received a report from a citizen of a subject entering vehicles in the 900 block of Cayuga Street. Several officers responded to the area and immediately engaged the male in a foot pursuit. Officer Jeffrey Margrey was injured during the arrest and was transported to Upstate University Hospital, where he was treated for a shoulder injury and released.

State Police: Man Sold Vehicle He Had No Right To Sell

Oneida State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested Gary R. Moth, of North Syracuse, for selling a vehicle which he had no right to sell. He perpetrated himself as a car salesman and completed a false sales contract relative to the sale of a vehicle in the town of Cicero, according to the report. And, he was further wanted on a bench warrant issued by the Village of Central Square Court for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree.
