SAM North America LLC, a member of the Sung An Machinery Group of South Korea, held a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the Extrusion Technology Center at its new facility in the Oswego County Industrial Park in the town of Schroeppel on January 21.
The Fulton School District Board of Education’s first Saturday (Jan. 25) morning coffee meeting brought a handful of parents who used the open-forum to discuss a lack of textbooks, online teaching and bettering the district’s sports program. Superintendent of Schools Bill Lynch, Executive Director of Instruction and Assessment Elizabeth Connor, Director of Personnel Thomas Greer and several BOE members were on hand to hear and discuss openly anything the parents wanted to talk about.

The city’s budding partnership with the state’s new Financial Restructuring Board for Local Governments has moved from application to discovery as Fulton city leaders learn more about the program and Albany’s administrators identify their model. The NYS Restructuring Board for Local Governments was staffed with 10 appointees last fall to make recommendations to qualified local governments on improving fiscal stability, management and the delivery of public services. The board is empowered to provide awards of up to $5 million per municipality.
