A mix of sun and clouds today. High near 80 with afternoon rain and thunderstorms possible.
“I’m pleased to be here this evening to recognize the students in the class of 2013,” said Jim Chupaila Hannibal’s interim principal, “who after four years of dedication and hard work are in the position of being in the top 10.”
The six teams representing Hannibal were able to create their projects from a generous donation of more than $600 from Lockheed Martin, Syracuse University and the MOST. This is the third year Hannibal has participated in the Rocket Challenge, and also their best year yet. Hannibal was amongst the 58 competing teams.

James F. Okoniewski, a graduate of Fulton’s G. Ray Bodley High School and SUNY Oswego, feels strongly about two things: his love for his hometown of Fulton and the Oswego County area and his belief that mathematics is a key subject for success in life.

On June 9 troopers out of SP Fulton observed a vehicle with South Carolina registration stopped along the shoulder of State Route 3 in Volney. Troopers stopped to check on the welfare of the driver, 35-year-old Sean S. Smith of West Columbia, SC. During the interview, troopers observed that Mr. Smith appeared to be intoxicated.
More than 250 job-seekers packed the Fulton War Memorial Thursday for State Senator Patty Ritchie’s third annual Oswego County Job Fair. Those in attendance were able to connect with nearly 40 local employers, many of which are looking to hire, and access tips on everything from interview techniques to how to improve your online job search.
