In an ongoing effort to conduct an open discussion about the issues that affect Upstate New York, Congressman Bill Owens will hold a telephone town hall next Tuesday, July 12th. Beginning at 6:45 p.m., Owens will update callers about his work to create jobs in Upstate New York, and then take questions from constituents during the hour-long call.
Don’t forget to water the lawn. Mother Nature apparently has decided to take some time off in that department. There is a chance of rain later today – but we have missed chances earlier this month . . . so we’ll see.
How about that? The rains all missed us – again. And, today looks pretty good, too.
Fulton has six Aldermen at the moment. Soon, it will have none.
July is still rain-free. But there have been some distant rumblings. Does that mean our streak will come to an end later today?
It’s a long agenda because it’s the annual reorganizational meeting. Lots of housekeeping items to attend to, in addition to the regular agenda.
How much longer can the month of July remain rain-free? A while longer, let’s hope.
Among the items on Tuesday’s Common Council agenda is a discussion on the topic of what to call a member of the Common Council. They’re called Aldermen at the moment, even the women. They’ll talk about changing to the sexless “Councilor”.
