Hannibal Union: We Offered a Salary Freeze
Hannibal’s teachers’ union offered to take no pay increase for the next school year, according to a letter from union leaders to members.
The letter adds context to Board of Education President Matt Henderson’s comment last week that the union rejected the district’s demand for no increase in personnel costs.

Syracuse Man Arrested For Drive-by Shootings In Fulton
On March 20, multiple reports were received by the Fulton Police Department in reference to shots fired in the city. On Thursday (April 7), Timothy C. Lashomb was arrested and charged for his involvement in these shootings.

Hannibal Board Members Refuse to Adopt Budget, Think About Defying State
Members of the Hannibal Board of Education sent their anger in all directions Wednesday night. They were angry with the teachers’ union, with the state, and, at times, with each other as they decided not to decide on a budget and thought out loud about defying the state.
